Our Diabetic Alert Dogs are placed across the U.S.

While we are based in Kentucky and love placing our dogs nearby, most of them find their homes in different states! We still go through extensive training with the family to ensure they are fully prepared to bring home their dog, sometimes it just requires a few plane rides and road trips.

Our Graduated Teams

Below are the Diabetic Alert Dog teams MD Dogs has trained. Our clients have ranged from 2 years old to 80 years old! We are a small organization, training just a few dogs per year as a passion project, rather than as a career. The dogs are trained for 1-2 years before being matched with a handler and during their training they live in the home as family members rather than in kennels. Each human-dog team went through extensive preparation and testing in order to graduate together, and have free lifetime support. If you'd like to contact them for reference purposes, let us know and we are happy to put you in contact.
